Cowley and Scopes head up Concord team
RYMAN One North new boys Concord Rangers are the latest club to have joint managers.
After their promotion from the Essex Senior League, Canvey-based Concord have appointed last season's assistant and coach Canny Cowley as joint boss with last season's incumbrent Danny Scopes.
Cowley said: "Dan and I work very well together and have very similar views on football and how the club should move forward. This was a natural progression after the successes of last year."
On the playing front the club are pleased to have retained the services of all but one of the players that led them to a league and cup double last year - skipper Dan Trenkel having rejoined Great Wakering Rovers.
Added Cowley: "The club are very pleased to be able to do this particularly when a high percentage of our players had been offered more lucrative deals elsewhere."
"Our main aim during the close season was to retain all of the players that did so well for the club.
"We created a very special team spirit which was a major reason behind our success.
"It was crucial for us to keep our players together so that we can continue to build on this.
"Continuity is a massive thing in football and I am sure our team spirit, along with our organisation, will develop as a consequence and hold us in good stead for the challenges to come."
Dulwich Hamlet's Anton Innocent is the latest new arrival at Thames Road.
