Police arrest cab driver

A CABBIE has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a road crash.

Officers were called to Chapel Street, Billericay, which is near to the Chequers pub, after police community support officers spotted a blue Ford Mondeo hitting two bollards.

The private hire vehicle was parked across the middle of the road near to its junction with the High Street following the accident.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested a 46-year-old man, from Billericay, on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
