BILLERICAY runner David Mitchell made an impact on the Big Apple as he completed the New York marathon on Sunday, to raise funds in memory of his school friend, Paul Davies. Paul died in January 2005, aged 28, of the heart muscle disease cardiomyopathy. Dave, 30, of Laindon Common Road, pounded 26 miles of pavement - or sidewalk - along with 30,000 other entrants.
